Gimme Baby!

Gimme Shelter will soon be welcoming it's newest member this fall! In honor of the upcoming birth of my first baby I will be sharing some of my favorite nursery must haves, as well as revealing my very own little one's nursery makeover!

In the meantime, here's a sneak peak of a little DIY project I did for my daughter's nursery. I took an old vintage wardrobe and cleaned it up to fit my baby's finest! At 33 weeks pregnant I had the nesting bug and got to work!

Materials needed:

Paint : Country Beige

Paint brush, roller brush, wood shelves cut to size at the hardware store, sander to soften the edges of the shelves, gorilla wood glue.

Progress shot : After the first coat of paint. I made sure to use a paint with a built in primer so I would only have to do two coats as opposed to three!

The finished product! I left some of the edges unfinished to maintain the rustic antiqued look of the piece. Now baby girl Snyder will be able to show off all her pretty things!
